Archives and Records Management
We serve your information needs by collecting, arranging, and preserving records that document the ministerial and business affairs of the Archdiocese of Seattle from the 1840s onward. This information is available through in person visits to our reading room, online access to digital materials, and remote reference services. We also oversee the management of current diocesan records and guide our parishes and schools in the administration of their records through policies and trainings.

Associated Catholic Cemeteries
Catholic Cemeteries are sacred places for the burial of members of our Faith Community and their families. These cemeteries are signs of hope, places of prayer, and witness our belief in the resurrection promised by Jesus Christ. Evangelization and cateches is provided through education of parishioners about pre-arrangement planning as well as through scheduled opportunities for prayer. The Auxiliary Bishops assist the Archbishop with pastoral care and administration of the Archdiocese and oversee Hispanic Ministry and Vocations.

The Office of the Chancellor provides canonical consultation and services, coordinates prenuptial documentation between dioceses, is a resource for Sacramental Records including marriage dispensations and permissions, generates reports for the Official Catholic Directory, Annual General Statistical Questionnaire and the Paulist Press ORDO, coordinates the Parish Annual Report and overseas Archives/Records Management.
