The ACA is an annual campaign of the Archdiocese of Seattle that runs from April to April each year. This campaign supports the programs and ministries serving our brothers and sisters throughout Western Washington, from Vancouver to Blaine, Forks to Snoqualmie. It also funds Archdiocesan services and programs that directly support our 170 parishes and missions so they can carry out their mission in their local community.

Your gift to the ACA recognizes that we belong to this local family of God, made up of the parishes and ministries of Western Washington. Faithful stewardship goes beyond our weekly commitment to our parish. What one parish cannot do alone, we can do together. Specifically, your gift helps fund ministries that stretch across multiple parishes like Hospital and Healthcare ministry, Prison Ministry, Immigrant and Refugee Ministry, Seminarian formation, Faith formation, Youth and Young Adults and more.

The Annual Catholic Appeal benefits parishes in several ways. First, parishes are direct recipients of the ministries and services supported by the ACA. For example, the ACA funds all human resources support for parishes as well as leadership training and guidance for liturgical ministers, youth ministers, pastoral coordinators and even your pastor. Other departments that provide direct parish support include Financial Services, Communications, Building and Construction, and Stewardship and Development!

Additionally, parishes that collect more than their target goal receive that overage as a rebate toward a parish project. Parishes have used their rebates for a variety of projects including new playground equipment, a kitchen remodel, organ pipe restoration and more.

God graces each one of us with gifts, talents and abilities that we share responsibly and gratefully with others. We each have the opportunity to prayerfully discern the gift we will share as we come together with our brothers and sisters to support the mission of the Church through the Annual Catholic Appeal.

Last year’s average donation to the Annual Catholic Appeal was $475.00. Please consider a contribution of 1% or more of your annual income to support this annual campaign.
