Volunteer at the Farmworker Center

Join us on April 9, 11 or 12 (or all!) for four different service opportunities at the Farmworker Center in Mt. Vernon. The Farmworker Center serves hundreds of migrant farmworker families and operates a food panty and multiple services for children and adults living in nearby farmworker housing.

Wednesday, April 9, 2025, Work in the Art Studio assisting art teachers and children: Encounter and experience our FWC Art Studio with the children.  Volunteers will assist our Art Teachers & the children. Help prepare a shared meal with the program staff and learn more about the wonderful work of the Farmworker Center!

Friday, April 11, 2025, Tutor adults: Volunteers will assist and encounter our Plaza Comunitaria Basic Literacy & Education program participants. Volunteers do not need to speak Spanish, but it is helpful.  Instruction will be given for all tutor volunteers. Help prepare a shared meal with the program staff and learn more about the work at the center.
