Collection Processing:
- Please deposit all National Collection cash/checks into the parish bank account and record gifts into Parishstaq. By entering these gifts into Parishstaq, the gifts will be acknowledged on the parish end of year parishioner tax letter.
- Do not send parishioner checks for National Collections to the Archdiocese. Even if the gift is not made payable to the parish it still can be deposited into your parish bank account. Please refer to this letter if your bank will not accept these checks.
- Any parishioner checks forwarded to the Archdiocese of Seattle and the check has been endorsed by the parish, the check will be returned to the parish for deposit into the parish account.
- Checks collected for the Annual Catholic Appeal (ACA) should NOT be entered into your parish database. Please forward ACA checks/cash directly to the Archdiocese of Seattle (710 9th Ave Seattle, WA 98104-2017).
- Within one month of the collection weekend, please send one check to the Archdiocese for the total funds collected for this collection. Please do not include multiple collections in one check. Please send one check per collection.
- Checks are to be made payable to Archdiocese of Seattle (or CCAS). Please include the collection name and parish ID in the memo line of your check. Checks are to be mailed to:

National Collection and Rice Bowl material orders are placed by the Development Office on behalf of all parishes and schools within the Archdiocese of Seattle.
National Collections: To update the quantity or shipping address for National Collection resource materials, including bulletin inserts, collection envelopes, and posters, please contact Andrea Shimek. Please note that orders for National Collection materials are placed each spring for the following calendar year. For example, orders submitted in May 2026 are for materials in the 2027 calendar year.
Rice Bowl: To update the quantity or shipping address for Rice Bowl materials, including rice bowls and posters, please contact Andrea Shimek. Please note that Rice Bowl material orders are placed each fall for the following calendar year. For example, orders submitted in September 2026 are for materials in the 2027 calendar year.
Envelope companies send annual envelope acknowledgments each year. The date these acknowledgments are distributed varies by envelope company.
Parishes should carefully review their annual envelope acknowledgment to verify that all Archdiocesan approved National Collections and parish-specific envelopes are included. The envelope company will produce and mail any envelope that appears on the acknowledgment form, regardless of whether it was included in your previous authorized list. Taking time to review the acknowledgment can help prevent unintended envelopes from being mailed to parishioners.
